Identcode barcode is a numeric-only symbology generally used by the Deutsche Post AG (DHL). Identcode encoding value is fixed to 11 digits. The base of Identcode is barcode Interleaved 2 of 5 with a compulsory modulo 10 check digit.

Encodable Chars

Identcode barcode encodes numeric digits through 0 to 9.

Components


Identcode can encode 12 digits including a checksum digit (including check digit). Here are the contents of an Identcode barcode:
2 digits for the mail center (outgoing),
3 digits for customer code,
6 digits for the delivery number and the last digit for checksum digit.


Encoding Scheme


Identcode uses the same encoding scheme as that of Interleaved 2 of 5 barcode but with a compulsory checksum digit of modulo 10.
