QR Code Barcode Introduction

QR code is a commonly-used matrix barcode originally designed for automotive industry. It is constructed of nominally square modules set out in a regular square array, and consists of an encoding region and function pattern. QR code is getting popular in recent years because of its fast readability and large storage capacity.

Encodable Chars	QR Code can encode four modes of data: numeric data (digits 0-9), alphanumeric data (digits 0-9, upper case letters A-Z, nine other chars: space, $ % * + - . / :), byte data (default: ISO/IEC 8859-1; or other sets as other defined ), and Kanji chars, which can be compacted into 13 bits in QR Code 2005. Meanwhile, Avapose provides Auto mode to automatically encode data according to QR Code standard.
Symbol Sze	21*21 modules to 177*177 modules (Versions 1 to 40, each increasing four modules per side)
Error Correction Level	Four levels of Reed-Solomon error correction to select (each in increasing order of capacity): L-7%, M-15%, Q-25%, H-30%
Orientation Independence	QR Code can be scanned from any direction, including reflection.
Structured Appended	This feature allows files of data to be encoded continuously and logically in up to 16 QR Code 2005 symbols, and can be scanned in random sequence to reconstruct data correctly.
Extended Channel Interpretations	With this mechanism QR Code can encode data with other character set apart from the four default sets, along with other data interpretations or some industry-specific requirements.
