ISBN Barcode Introduction

The International Standard Book Number (ISBN) is a 13-digit number that identifies books and book-like products published worldwide. Each number identifies a unique edition of a publication, from one specific publisher, allowing for more efficient marketing of products by booksellers, libraries, universities, wholesalers and distributors.

Encodable Chars	ISBN encodes 13 characters from the numeric digits 0 to 9 including a checksum digit.
