Word Code 39 Add-In is a robust and professional barcode creation component for Word which can be easily installed, used and implemented under all Windows operating systems. It allows users of Microsoft Word 2007 or 2010 to easily integrate Code 39 features into applications, such as wide bar to narrow ratio, the space between characters, start and stop characters, bar width and height, rotation angle, etc.
Code 39 Add-In for Word - Code 39 Information
Code 39, also named Alpha39, Code 3 of 9, Code 3/9, Type 39, USS Code 39, or USD-3, is a linear barcode which is widely used especially in non-retail environments. Besides common encoding characters, additional character (denoted "*") can be used for both start and stop delimiters.
As Code 39 itself does not contain a check digit, it can be considered self-checking on the grounds that a single erroneously interpreted bar cannot generate another valid character. However, in applications that require an extremely high level of accuracy, a modulo 43 checksum digit may be added.
Code 39 Valid Encoding Characters:
  • Numeric characters: 0 - 9
  • Special characters: - (Dash), $ (Dollar), % (Percentage), (Space), . (Point), / (Slash), + (Plus)
  • Uppercase letters: A - Z
Code 39 Extension Valid Encoding Data:
  • All ASCII 128 characters
