EAN 128 Data Encoding in Word
Developed conforming to the latest industry standards, EAN 128 Barcode Add-In for Word allows the following data to be easily encoded for accurate EAN 128 barcodes:
EAN 128 Valid Encoding Characters:
  • Standard ASCII values: 0-128
  • Extended ASCII Values: 128-255
EAN 128 Valid Data Length:
  • Variable data length
GS1 128 encoding data can be influenced by those following factors:
  • data --- The data to be encoded. This property lets you encode desired data.
  • barcode type --- Barcode types could be changed by setting this property, default value is Code 128.

Encode EAN 128 Data using Word Barcode Add-In

  1. Barcode Add-In for Word needs to be downloaded and installed at first;
  2. Install this barcode generator on your Word;
  3. Activate the add-in and choose "EAN 128" in the "barcode type";
  4. Input the data to be encoded with any one method as below in the "data" box;
  5. Customize the properties that are required and click "Generate" to display the created EAN 128 barcode.
EAN 128 Image Customization in Word
EAN 128 image is freely customizable with the following valid parameters:
  • Display checksum char --- Determine whether to display the last check sum character (s) in the barcode text.
  • Font --- Adjust the font style of the barcode text under image.
  • Display barcode data --- For displaying the human readable interpretation or not.
  • Rotate --- Set the rotation angle into 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees.

  3. Enable "Display checksum char" if required;
  4. Set the rotation angle of the barcode image into any valid angle;

There may be a consideration on EAN 128 size on Word documents, therefore, the following options are provided:
  • Bar width (X) --- The width value of the barcode narrowest bar module (X).
  • Bar height (Y) --- The height value of the bar.

  3. Set the "Bar width" into "3", "Bar height" into "50", , "Left margin" into "5", "Right margin" into "5", "Top margin" into "5", "Right margin" into "5";
  4. Set the "Text margin" if "Display barcode data" is enabled;
  5. Click "Update" where "Generate" is located at last.
