Creating a Reporting Services in .NET

  1. Open your Visual Studio and create a new project with the Reporting Services template in "Business Intelligence Projects";
  2. When the Report Wizard dialog box appears, select data Source, create Query String, and click "Next";
  3. Select "Tabular", then click "Next";
  4. Design the table accordingly;
  5. Name the report accordingly, and click "Finish";

Add Intelligent Mail Barcode Generator to the Report Item Toolbox

  1. Right-click "Report Items";
  2. Select "Choose Items"
  3. Browse to find the Reporting Service CRI, then add it to your Report Item Toolbox;
  4. Click "OK";

Add a Barcode Column to Report

  1. Select an existing column in the report;
  2. Right-click it, and select "Insert Column to the Right";

Define the Data of the Barcode

  1. Activate the Properties Window on the right;
  2. Change the BarcodeData property to "=Fields!AccountNumber.Value"; (The Account Numer column maintains the data strings of the Barcode column, you can have it redefined according to your need)
  3. Finally, click preview to see the entire report.
