Excel PDF 417 is a PDF 417 generation function developed for Excel to generate PDF 417 barcodes on cells of Excel. Full barcode setting properties are customizable including some special features of PDF 417 conforming to its specification, like error correction level, data mode, row count, column count, truncated PDF 417, etc. You can easily adjust them in the barcode setting panel according to your need.

PDF 417 Add-In for Excel - PDF 417 Information

PDF 417, also named Portable Data File 417, PDF 417, PDF417 Truncated, is a stacked linear barcode symbol format used in various applications. In addition to the typical features of two dimensional barcodes, PDF 417 can link to other symbols which are scanned in sequence allowing even more data to be stored, thus it can be easily read with a simple linear scan swept over the symbol.

PDF 417 Valid Encoding Characters:

All ASCII 128 characters from value 0 to 127
Extended ASCII 128characters from 128 to 255 in accordance with ISO 8859-1

Requirements:

Make sure the following are installed into your PC before you use and implement Excel PDF 417 Add-In:

Generating a Single PDF 417 on Excel

Open your target Excel document and click "Create Barcode" under "Add-Ins" tab to activate Excel Barcode Add-In. Thus, a barcode setting panel named "Create Barcode" pops up immediately;
Select a certain cell and choose "PDF 417" in the "barcode type" list pull-down list;
Enter data with your need in the "data" box, like "Excel-PDF417";
Adjust the parameters that are required like "Error correction level", "Data mode", "Row count", "Truncated PDF417", etc;
Click "Generate" to output the target PDF 417 on the chosen cell of Excel.

If there is some requirement to customize the generated PDF 417, please select it and adjust the needed properties in the setting panel. Then, click "Update". Alternatively, you can delete the barcode by choosing the barcode and clicking "Delete" button.

Creating a PDF 417 List on Excel

Activate Excel Barcode Add-In;
Select a list of cells with data, choose "PDF 417" in the "barcode type" pull-down list;
Customize the parameters that you need like "Error correction level", "Data mode", "Row count", "Truncated PDF417", etc;
Click "Generate" and a list of PDF 417 barcodes appear on Excel as required.
