RM4SCC, also named Royal Mail 4-state Customer Code (RM4SCC), is a height-modulated barcode symbology used by the Royal Mail for its Cleanmail service in automated mail sort process. It enables UK postcodes as well as Delivery Point Suffixes (DPSs) to be easily read by a machine at high speed.

Generate a Single RM4SCC on Excel

  1. Start the target Excel spreadsheet and activate Excel Barcode Add-In by clicking "Create Barcode" under "Add-Ins" tab;
  2. Select a certain cell of Excel and choose "RM4SCC" in the "barcode type" pull-down list;
  3. Input data with your need in the "data" box, like "RM4SCC"(only uppercase letters and numeric digits are valid to be encoded);
  4. Customize the properties that are required like "Left margin", "Right margin", "Display barcode data", "Rotate", etc;
  5. Click "Generate" to embed the target RM4SCC on the chosen cell of Excel.
If some customization is required for the generated RM4SCC, please select it and adjust the parameters that are required in the setting panel. After that, click "Update". Alternatively, you can delete the barcode by clicking "Delete" button and generate a new one.
